Saturday Seafood Buffet @ Royale Chulan Penang

Life is short and too boring to have the daily routine, so taking a hiatus of nearly six months and this time I decided to come back with a buffet spread! Stepping into working society had made me treasure the wonderful weekends, spending quality time with another part of the society because I love new discovery. (and to cut off phone time as well).

So I got to feast on seafood buffet at Royale Chulan Penang, it's perfectly scheduled on Saturdays where I'm able to join the crowd with beloved ones in the evening. Here's some highlights I had in the evening.

The starter corner:

Assorted appetizer and salad corner

Penne Pasta with Crabstick, Watercress and Celery Salad

Marinated Seared Tuna with Avocado

Calamari with Olvies and Basil Pesto, Mixed Seafood Terrine Platter

Main, salmon, seafood corner, fish head curry

Seafood Paella
I'd had few positive feedback for this, a good start

Grilled Seabass with Orange Beurre Blanc

Flower Crab Alfredo with Fusilli Pasta
When it comes to seafood, Japanese station is surely a staple including various kinds of sashimi and sushi.

I eye on the scallop after the the big snapper though!
However, I'd prefer to have scallop mornay, serving in the buffet too.

The tako is definitely one of the highlight of the buffet

Assorted Sushi featuring Ebiko Sushi, Inari Sushi, Tuna Sushi

Action Station also catered for selected seafood including:
Baked Whole Chilled Salmon with Chives, Sour Cream and Honey Mustard
This is simply to everyon's liking I suppose.
The chef will carefully serve you with some wedges and condiment, making it just right for every bite.

Stir Fry Chili Crab
The gravy is something make me feel tantalising!

Fish Head Curry
Asian being asian, it's best paired with white rice!

Dessert, ice kacang ice cream etc

Seafood buffet shouldn't missing out dessert for the diners.
I guess we need some sweet after the savoury on the fresh catch.

You may get to DIY ice kacang and customise the topping as well.

And of course, tea and coffee are also served in case you're craving for some caffeine. Why not get some fruits to boost some fibre too? So much glad to have my favourite jackfruit in the buffet too.
